About Cody
Cody Beshears is an Alabama author, elementary school paraprofessional, Registered Behavior Technician, and lifelong storyteller. His work with children, including students with special needs, inspired him to write stories that celebrate imagination, movement, courage, kindness, and emotional growth.
Cody is the creator of Finn's Big Adventures, a children's book series inspired by his real-life dog, Finnegan. In the series, Finn turns ordinary moments into exciting adventures while helping young readers learn, move, explore their feelings, and understand that it is okay not to be okay.
In addition to writing children's books, Cody is preparing to release an upcoming novel for adult readers. His writing is shaped by his experiences in education, community theatre, life in the South, and his belief that every person has a story worth telling. When he is not writing, Cody enjoys creating hands-on activities for children, working in community theatre, and spending time with the real Finn.

The Inspiration
Finn's Big Adventures was inspired by Cody's real-life dog, Finnegan. His personality and everyday adventures helped inspire the character at the heart of the series, where ordinary moments become opportunities to imagine, move, explore, and grow.
